Musical Information:
Our Musical for choir this year will be "North Pole Exposure."  All choir students will be involved in singing, dancing and acting.  Brief synopsis:  Here's the ultimate in 'reality' programming!  Thanks to the exploits of a brave and curious group of young people, you'll get a first-hand look at all the famous characters that make Christmas dreams come true including the reindeer corps, overworked elves, snowmen who want a tropical vacation, Mrs. Claus and Santa himself!

Music Online:
Practice your music at home!  Click here to access the songs for our musical:  North Pole Exposure.  Once on the page, you can click on the song you want to hear and then play it to sing along.

Here are the song lyrics for each of the songs in our musical:
1.  Welcome to the North Pole
2.  The Four-Hooved, Flying, Red-Nosed Reindeer, Volunteer Delivery Corps
3.  I'm Tired
4.  We are the Toys
5.  I Wanna Go To Hawaii
6.  One Day a Year
7.  I Believe in Santa Claus
8.  Reprise:  Welcome to the North Pole

Script:
Practice your speaking parts at home!  Scripts have been sent to student and parent emails.

Costumes:
The following are ideas for costumes.  Be creative with these!  There is a lot of flexibility in what you do.  Please do not go out and buy a bunch of things.  Use what you have around the house.

Kids:
Coats, hats, mittens, gloves, mufflers, etc… Wear light clothes underneath your costume like shorts and a tshirt as it will be hot on stage.

Reindeer:
Solid deer colors – brown/khaki/black on bottom and top.
Antlers – check the Target $1 bins!  You could also make antlers using a headband.  Also, firemen gear like boots, jackets.

Rudolph – needs a red blinking nose

Dasher – pizza delivery clothes

Prancer – a tutu and ballet shoes

Elves:
Green, red or white tights.  Green and red shirts, shorts or skirts.  Elf shoes – be creative!

Toys:
Dress like your toy.  Rag dolls in denim with red hair (could be made out of yarn!).  Soldiers in army gear.  Jack with a joker hat on and clown looking clothes.

Snow People:
White long sleeved shirts, black pants, tights, shoes.
Three black circles down
Could make a snowman pillowcase dress (see tutorial here) and wear a white shirt underneath
Hats – top hats or winter hats
Scarf and mittens
Snowman makeup

Party goers:
Party clothes or sleepover clothes

Pizza guy:
Regular North Pole clothing with maybe a delivery hat.

Police officer:

Dark blue or black with a badge and a hat
